1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Seiyuu mobile application ("App") or accessing my cloud services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Seiyuu is an AI-powered identification tool designed to recognize Japanese voice actors (Seiyuu) from audio clips. The service utilizes machine learning models (such as Campplus and ERes2Net) to analyze audio fingerprints and match them against a database of known voice actors.
3. AI Accuracy & Disclaimers
The AI is not perfect. While we strive for high accuracy (up to 90% in optimal conditions), voice identification involves probabilistic modeling. Results may be affected by:
- Background noise or music.
- Audio compression quality.
- Voice acting range (e.g., a Seiyuu performing a highly stylized character voice).
Seiyuu is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the identification will always be correct, and we are not liable for any actions taken based on incorrect identification (e.g., purchasing the wrong merchandise).
4. Privacy & Audio Data
We take your privacy seriously.
- Transient Processing: Audio clips recorded for identification are processed in real-time. We do not permanently store your voice recordings on my servers after the identification session is complete.
- Offline Queue: If you use the Offline Queue feature, audio is stored locally on your device until an internet connection is restored, at which point it is processed and immediately discarded.

5. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service and its original content (excluding third-party data cited in Section 6), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Daniel Karume. The "Seiyuu" name, logo, and original UI design are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not use my branding without prior written consent.
6. Third-Party Data & Links
Seiyuu aggregates data from various third-party sources to enhance your experience:
- AniList/MyAnimeList: Used for filmography and character data.
- CDJapan: Used for merchandise affiliate links.
We do not own this data. Availability of these features depends on the uptime and API policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external websites you may visit via links in the App.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or my API.
- Use the App to harvest data or scrape my database.
- Attempt to overwhelm my servers (DDoS) or bypass usage limits.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. My failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daniel Karume (and any contributors to the Seiyuu project) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
